My 2nd Canvas

hey that dont look too bad so i left it there, some mistakes are supposed to happen i guess...lol
Well here is my second canvas i have made and this one is for my best buddy, she liked to first one i made but that was already promised to someone else so she couldnt have it...lol so i thought i would make her a special one to let her know how i appreciate our friendship. The scan doesnt show it up that well as there is gold foil over the front in parts but it just didnt show up, the black paint was an accident, i was shaking the bottle up to and when i flipped the lid, it spattered over the canvas which i had balancing on my knee, i went *$#@ then i thought hey that dont look to bad so i left it, some mistakes are supposed to happen i guess...lol

Tiles and more atc's

One more week to go and i can go back to work, for those who dont know i have been off work with a fractured ankle and so far i havnt worked for 5 weeks and it is killing me, but on the upside i have had lots of time to create, so heres todays additions, a tile set i made for a friend who likes anything pink .

This atc was made with gold metal tape, it was given to me by a friend and i thought i would give it a try, it doesnt work as well as the silver tape but it still has a nice affect and it makes a change from using the silver. And the atc on the right is another transfer using the sheer heaven which i am totally addicted to at the moment, well of to work on another canvas i am making for another friend.

My very first canvas....

Well i have finally done it and pulled the old blank canvas out and decided to bite the bullet and finally done it, i didn't realise how easy it all came together, and i have to thank Kelsey who is a huge inspiration too me, and she shows how to put together a canvas on her blog which is http://ko-ok.blogspot.com/ very talented lady make sure you take a look at her blog if you haven't already. Here is the canvas and i have made this for a male friend, he loved it of course, but probably because it has boobs on it.....lol

And now some atc's i have been working on this one is a transfer and after using lots of different ways from doing transfers from packing tape to sheer heaven, i have found my favourite which is sheer heaven it is quick, easy and almost full proof, i bought the sheer heaven from scraptactivate, here in Perth and just used my printer to print out and image onto the rough side of the paper, and bought some rubbing alcohol from the chemist, on another site it says to use 60% not 90% but i bought the 90% alcohol and didn't have a problem, put it into a spritzer bottle ( i just used an old hairspray container) which i collect as you can mix up your dyes and don't have to discard. spray a good mist over the image, turn face down and rub the back with a bone scorer i didn't have one of these so i just used one of my rub on pop sticks and this worked just as well.

This next one is the credit card technique just used the paint scraped down with a credit card then stencilled some yellow paint a bit of art chix stuff which always looks good on anything you put it on, and voila! The one below is just a quick black and white card using white gel pen to made a border and some left over white rubons. this is a good way

to get rid of those letters that you don' use very often, as you can see i have used q, j etc, i have found with most of my rub ons now i can hardly make up a word as all the vowels and comment letters have been used up , i knew there was a reason why i didn't throw them out, actually i don't think i ever throw anything away ( that's why i cant walk into my craft room i guess...lol

This one is a little dark but you get the general idea, this idea was inspired by Linda Baldock who appears in Australian paper crafts where the outside of the collections inchies is used and you use the inside to create little windows, the picture doesn't do this much justice and this was made for Kylie Mell from Stamp gropers and i hope she likes the real thing. We have been doing a Pandora's box where we started of with a stash in a tin and it goes around a circle of friends who have to create something with the contents of the tin, and this is what i created, the pieces of art that i have seen come through are incredible which just goes to show what a talented bunch of west Australians there are out there and i sure cant wait to see what is in my tin and i will be sure to upload every piece of art in there for you all to see.
